Smith & McLaurin wins ROCCO Award for Excellence in Manufacturing

The ROCCOs are Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce's official awards, this year they celebrated their 18th anniversary at the Normandy Hotel. As we are headquartered in Renfrewshire we entered into two categories,  International Trade and Excellence in Manufacturing, and were successfully shortlisted for both.

At the awards evening on 18^th November, we were second to Diageo for the International Trade category, congratulations to the Diageo team! Later that evening we were delighted to be awarded the ROCCO for Excellence in Manufacturing, sponsored by National Manufacturing Institute Scotland. This award is a testament to our entire team as we have been enhancing our processes to maximise resource utilisation and minimise waste for 2-3 years.  Our combined continuous improvement projects have had such a positive impact on the environment that they have allowed us to save over 30 football pitches worth of trees annually.

This award is a fantastic accomplishment that reflects the consistent hard work and dedication to enhancing manufacturing processes and operations at Smith & McLaurin.
